7 reasons why a dental implant may not take root

1. Lack of bone tissue: if the implant area is not ideal in terms of size, you should not reject the stage of correction with one of the methods of bone plastic surgery. That is, do not count on a “miracle”, the implant will not take root in scarce conditions.
2. Infections: if you ignore the stage of rehabilitation of chronic foci of infection, such as chronic periodontitis, and insert an implant in conditions of increased microbial load, the infection can cause early peri-implantitis.

6. Smoking: nicotine creates a situation of generalized hypoxia in the body, and implantation (dental, eye lens, breast, etc.) requires a functional microcirculatory channel, which nicotine kills.
