What do Napoleon, Caesar and John Lennon have in common?

Shall we spill the beans? Yes, later.

For many parents, the period when the child’s teeth begin to erupt is challenging. But did you know that some babies are born with teeth already?

This phenomenon is extremely rare: out of 2000-3000 babies, only one is born with one or two teeth. Most often, the lower incisors are the first to erupt in the baby’s mouth.

The reason in this case may be hereditary factors; however, there are no statistics or studies to prove this. Most often, doctors call the reason for the birth of a child with teeth an excess of calcium and a genetic trait, rather than a disease.

Any parent will have a question what to do about it. The answer is clear: contact an experienced pediatric specialist. In certain cases, there are indications for tooth extraction, in particular, when it interferes with normal breastfeeding, since it causes discomfort to the mother, or there is a threat to the baby’s health. For example, a tooth can injure the tongue and cheeks, which can lead to infection. If the tooth is moving, there is a chance that it will fall out and the child may choke with it.

However, there are also situations when these teeth cannot be removed, namely when they are complete and not spare. In other words, in place of this tooth, a new milk one will not re-erupt; it will be necessary to wait for the secondary tooth to erupt.

As you may have guessed, Napoleon, Caesar and John Lennon are united by the fact that they were born with teeth. Does this mean that such a child will become famous? Not necessary. But the fact that he/she is unique is certain.
