Procedure in case of air raid alert and possible shelling in Kyiv: instructions for patients
The medical center operates in accordance with the Instruction on Staff Actions in the Event of an Air Alert as of 30.06.22, which is communicated to each employee and patient. In particular, an excerpt from the instruction states:
“3.1. Medical staff treating a patient at the time of receiving an air raid alert must offer the patient to stop providing services as soon as possible and take the patient out of the room, showing the way to the nearest shelter.
Evacuation is not possible for patients who:
— cannot move independently;
— have medical contraindications for movement;
— are undergoing surgery that cannot be stopped without harming their health;
— cannot receive proper medical care in the shelter.”
Each patient undergoing treatment signs a written consent to the conditions of stay in the medical center during the air alert, and also:
- confirms familiarization with the above instructions;
- acknowledges and accepts the possible risks that may arise during treatment (in particular, surgical intervention, anesthesia or postoperative period) in the event of air raid alert or shelling;
- decides to be treated in accordance with the proposed conditions.
