The second stage of implantation: is it possible to postpone?
This question has become very relevant for many of our patients. Those who were forced to leave their homes in Kyiv began to turn to our contact center en masse for this very reason. Please keep calm. There is nothing critical in postponing the second stage of implantation.
A person can “wear” an implant for years. Of course, it is better to limit yourself to a few months from the deadline. However, once again: nothing critical will happen for a longer period of time. If the implant has taken root, it can be in the bone without any discomfort or risk.
There are two scenarios. The first scenario. If you have temporarily left Kyiv, but plan to return, you can definitely wait. The only point: you should check if your clinic / specialist is working. So far, almost all dentists in the network have resumed their work. The rest of the branches are going to open their doors in the near future.
If your dentistry is already working and your doctor is seeing patients – then we are just waiting for you to return. Otherwise, you should check with our contact center specialist when we plan to open the office you need and when your doctor is going to return.
The second scenario. You would like to complete the implantation, but you will not be able to return to Kyiv in the near future. In this case, you should contact our dentistry to clarify the specifications of your implants.
What is a specification?
This is the brand of your implants (ie the manufacturer), as well as their type and size. Our dentistry network works exclusively with certified international brands, such as:
- MIS
- MegaGen
- Bicon
- Straumann
- Nobel
- Tekka
All the information a doctor needs in another city or country is contained in the specification. With this minimum, another dentist will be able to complete your treatment.
Of course, each treatment process has its own peculiarities. This is the secret of the two: the dentist and their patient. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to ask your doctor personally what is the best thing to do in your case, be sure to consult your specialist.
