With the development of dentistry, patients have become accustomed to the fact that the drill can be silent, the smile is perfect, and the treatment process is painless.

A cofferdam is one of the subjects in dentistry, which simultaneously makes the process more comfortable and safer for both the patient and the doctor.

The fact is that thanks to the cofferdam, the doctor gets a better overview of the required field for manipulations and the place of treatment remains sterile until the end of the work — therefore, there is less risk that something can go wrong. Under the cofferdam, the patient’s salvation is not as abundant as during operations without a plate, a person can safely swallow saliva and move his tongue – due to this, the separated surface remains dry for a long time, and the filling materials used are better fixed to the tooth.

Due to the fact that the patient’s tooth surface is separated from the oral cavity, the patient is free from the danger of swallowing any medications or tools used during treatment, as well as infection of the canals with microorganisms from saliva.
