Aligners
Modern medicine allows you to eliminate any dental defects at any age. When correcting a patient’s dentition flaws, most dentists recommend using braces as a proven way to eliminate bite defects or improperly growing teeth.
Transparent aligners
The aesthetic aspect of treatment is very important to people. Therefore, dental clinics offer an alternative to braces — transparent aligners.
Aligners are a removable type construction that consists of special thin plates made of polymer material. Due to the pressure on the dentition, the teeth are displaced and as a result they occupy the correct position in the oral cavity.
If you use aligners to straighten your teeth, then you need to understand that such a device can only be selected by an experienced orthodontist. Your doctor will tell you when to wear the aligners. But, in general, this device is worn for at least 20 hours a day for a period determined by the dentist. At the same time, in order to achieve maximum results, frequent replacement of aligners is recommended — once every two weeks.
Reviews of satisfied patients
More and more patients are choosing aligners. The reviews of these patients note the following benefits:
- The transparent material of the aligners makes them invisible. Hence, wearing aligners will not cause discomfort.
- The removable principle keeps the aligners clean and comfortable to wear.
- The polymers which the aligners are made of are absolutely harmless to the patient’s health.
- An individual model can be selected depending on the type of treatment.
- It is possible to straighten teeth and whiten them at the same time.
- Wearing aligners does not harm the tooth enamel and gums.
Selecting aligners and taking care of them
Dentists do not recommend buying ready-made aligner kits from online stores. The price will seem attractive, but it is not worth saving money because professionals should select them.
It will not be difficult to take care of your aligners. It is enough to rinse them with water and brush them with an ordinary toothbrush. It is not allowed to clean plastic in hot water, and to expose it to high temperatures. For proper storage, you must use a case or a special container with ventilation holes. In addition, aligners often have to be changed every two weeks. Within this interval, it is necessary to inspect your aligners for mechanical damage. The cost will be advised by the doctor at the appointment after examination and diagnostics.
Package offers of treatment with aligners
From now on, in the Astra Dent network, you can not only pay for each aligner individually, but also take advantage of package offers.
We offer our patients the following 3 turnkey options:
- Light package (up to 20 trays)
- Medium package (up to 44 trays)
- Complex package (up to 80 trays)
This is the average number of aligners used to solve minor problems of the dentition, complex work with bite and clinical cases of increased complexity, respectively.
Each of these packages has 3 categories. Different categories use materials from different manufacturers (Ukrainian and foreign, respectively).
Thus, it will be possible to solve a not too complicated bite problem in the range from 36000 to 59000 UAH. 79000-119000 UAH is the cost of more significant and long-term interventions for an even smile. A turnkey solution to a complex orthodontic situation will cost 116000-167000 UAH.
Invisalign — American quality available in Ukraine
The most progressive aligners at the moment are the American Invisalign system.
In order to start treatment with Invisalign, the patient undergoes a 3D scan or gets silicone impressions done. After that, photographs of the patient are taken, which are loaded into a special ClinCheck program, where the treatment is simulated and the result is visualized.
Aligners are printed at a manufacturing facility in the United States and then shipped to Ukraine. The number of aligners is individual and depends on the complexity of the case. Attachments can be installed to fix aligners and move teeth. These are small composite onlays that are similar in color to your teeth.
The patient uses one set of aligners 22 hours a day for 10 days. Each aligner is able to move the teeth by 0.25 mm. Conveniently, there is no need to visit an orthodontist to replace aligners. And to eat or brush your teeth, the aligners can be removed.
