Primary vector

Primary vector

Vector therapy is an effective method of treating periodontitis. Inflammation of the gums weakens the connection between the tooth and the tissues of the jaw, which can even cause tooth loss.

Vector-therapy is designed to clean the roots of the tooth from pathogenic microorganisms and bacteria. The usual professional cleaning with ultrasound or Air-Flow in this case is not enough, because they can not penetrate deep into the gums and clean the roots.

The device has long nozzles that can clean to a depth of 11 mm under the gums. With the help of these attachments, the biofilm which affects the gums and bone tissue and provokes inflammation is completely removed. The procedure is very painstaking, because even the smallest plaque is removed to completely get rid of inflammatory foci, and the roots themselves are polished and covered with a special suspension of calcium hydroxyapatite, which ensures the fixation of treatment results.

Vector therapy can be performed for patients with implants, because this method perfectly removes plaque from implants and provides fixation with the tissues of the jaw.

Note that Vector-therapy should be performed only after professional cleaning, when the pathogenic plaque has already been removed from the surfaces of the teeth.
